Check SAP Basis, Kernel Information or Winshuttle Function Module.

Instructions:

At times, users and administrators may need to locate the version number of the Winshuttle Function Module (WFM), SAP Basis, and Kernel Information to assess the necessity of an upgrade. This can be easily accomplished through Winshuttle Studio or directly from the SAP GUI.

Works with Transaction 10.x, Query 10.x, Studio 11.x, Studio 12.x, and Winshuttle Function Module

To verify the versions of Basis, Kernel, and Winshuttle Function Modules in SAP, follow these steps:

  1. Open SAP and navigate to any SAP screen.
  2. Click on the “System” menu.
  3. Select “Status” (in some systems, you may find this option under “More” in the menu bar).

You should now see the System: Status with Usage data at the top (not shown below).

To access the SAP Basis and Winshuttle Function Module versions, click on the magnifying glass icon next to “Component version” in the SAP System data.

Near the top of the component list, you will find “SAP_BASIS”. Please provide Winshuttle Support with the release and level numbers associated with it.

Scroll to the bottom of the list of components to view the version of the Winshuttle Function Module component, beginning WINSHTL or WINSHTLQ . Note from version 10.6 there is one WFM component for both Query and Transaction. Send Winshuttle Support the release and level numbers.

For Kernel Information , click on the Other Kernel Info icon.
