If we select data source as SQL server, Web form, Reference data the chain script option gets grayed out.

Cause:

It is as per design. 

Chain script option is not available if data source is selected as  SQL server/Web form/ Reference data.

If the “Chain Script” option is grayed out for selected data sources such as SQL Server, Web Form, or Reference Data in Evolve, it is recommended to explore other available data sources as an alternative.

Furthermore, an improvement request has been raised to address this limitation, and there is a possibility of implementing the requested feature in upcoming releases of Evolve.
